It was actually easier than I thought.
Yes. She was feeling herself in this jacket. You should see the rest of the photos. Ok, back to the party.
The pillar is an awesome project to keep in mind, because it can be used so often. It's super simple and only has 3 steps.
1) Buy
2) Cut
3) Tape
The pillar is a concrete form from Lowe's. They come in 4ft and 8ft. I chose the 4ft and cost $4.48. I also bought thick foam sheets and cut them in two different sizes and stacked the larger one on top of the small one to create the top. I purchased different color wrapping paper from Dollartee to cover the concrete forms. After that, cut and wrap everything. Don't forget your pillar top. That is wrapped aslo. For my base, I used a piece of phone with a sheet of shiny pape on top and BAM!!! I'm done. Add extra if you'd like. My splurge was silver trim, also from dollartree.
Rewrap and reuse often
Miss Pretty here, is from Dollartree (my favorite store). Her skirt was made from extra tulle I had. I cut little strips and tied them around a ribbon. Bunch them really close to get the skirt full.
The Makeup station was neat. No real makeup (my kids hae sensitive skin). They made their own lip gloss out of petroleum jelly and Kool Aid.
The tulle backdrop is just some tulle I had in my craft closet, backed by plastic white table covers
Hung pictures that I printed at home (blockposters.com)
Chair covers & sashes from Trinity's 5th BDay.
Table cloths from Dollartree.
Gift bags from Dollartree and filled with Dollartree goodies.
Finished product.
Added Sparkbooth.com software, a runway and a Taylor Swift CD (for Trinity).
DON'T FORGET ABOUT DOLLARTEE!!!!!!
